What Is Re-Discovery Everything?
Re-Discover Everything is an extended learning program for grades 3 through 5, offering an innovative option for lifelong learning. Our first cohort will have four blocks, with four elective courses, where teams will select two out of four electives (Literature Club, Science-STEAM, Arts and Crafts, and Music). Each elective will be 45 minutes. Teams will also attend 30 minute segments for targeted instruction in reading and math. We will also offer a social-emotional learning block, to include growth mindset.
Program Format
Shawn A. Price, Executive Director of Meet-Exceed VI, Incorporated, along with myself, Sandra S. Price Blyden, who serves as President of our non-profit organization will be the leaders behind the launch of Re-Discover Everything. Sandra will be the Program Director and Shawn will have a role of advisor for the program as well as his usual role of Executive Director of Meet-Exceed VI, Incorporated. Our program leaders, qualified teachers and teacher assistants will meet all the challenges we may encounter by setting high standards as we follow our goals, objectives, assessments, and work plan to ensure a successful launch and implementation of Re-Discover Everything. Eight highly-qualified classroom teachers will be hired to teach the four block schedule.
